Rainbow Six Siege is the latest game in a long-running series of games that are based on Tom Clancy’s books. The 10th novel called Rainbow Six gave birth to the franchise in 1998. In 2015, after an uncertain launch for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft took a measured approach to make the game grow as an Esport. It's poised to be an essential game in the market for esports following years of investment and experimentation. This is how Rainbow Six Siege grew from a small beginning to an increasingly popular electronic game. What do you think are the Origins of Rainbow Six Siege?The 17th game in the series' final release The Rapidly Growing League of Rainbow Six Siege The roots of the series can be traced back to 1984, when Tom Clancy, an American novelist, released The Hunt for Red October. The book later became an important motion picture. It was the first in a series of motion pictures of Clancy's works. Clancy also made his way through videogames through founding Red Storm Entertainment, a studio in 1996 (it was later purchased by Ubisoft 4 years later). Three series were created, loosely based on the works of Clancy, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six. The book was released just two weeks before the 1998 release of Rainbow Six Siege. It is the story of a world-wide anti-terrorism group named Rainbow Training for missions that takes place in varied situations. Ubisoft utilized the Game as a Service (GaaS) is a model that offers support and content over the long-term to encourage active communities rather than developing new content. This strategy was successful: after successive upgrades of the game and content additions, the game has been played by 40 million people in the last year. What exactly is Rainbow Six Siege Played? Today, the rapidly growing league of Rainbow Six Siege, the first game in the series that is exclusively focused on multiplayer is available. It's a strategic first-person shooter (FPS) where a team of five players has to defend or attack a particular target on a map in a limited amount of time to score points. You can choose to destroy all players that are in the defensive position or use one of two bombs that are hidden on the map in order to win. The round is won by the defending team if they eliminate all attackers or destroy the device that defuses the bomb within 7 seconds of the time it is activated by the attackers.
A ban and pick phase is also added before the match begins like League of Legends or Dota 2, so that the teams can counter the opponent's strategy. Prior to the start of a match the players pick a varying number of maps (depending on the length of the game) and four players, each that have their own set of abilities and tools to block. The match begins when the maps are chosen. The players choose their player and gear for each round, and they alternate between attacking and defending. What is the Esports Strategy of Rainbow Six Siege? Ubisoft introduced the very first Pro League circuit just two months after the video game was launched in January of 2016. In summer 2018, the circuit changed to a more conventional league format. The circuit for competition is divided into two leagues: Pro and Challenger. The Pro League consists of eight teams. It is played in four regions: Europe, North America and Latin America. Matches are unpredictably played (best of one) which are divided into six consecutive attacks and defenses. Matches are won by the team with the most points, which is seven. The season lasts for six months and features offline finals played against the top two teams from each region. The Challenger League relegates the lowest-ranked team. The second-worst team must win a qualifier in order to retain its spot for the following season. Challenger League gathers the amateur scene and follows the Pro League format. The Pro League invites the top-ranked team to join the Pro League, while the second-best team could be the winner by beating the worst Pro League team.
